Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian Vettel’s rise to the top has been nothing short of meteoric. Like all F1 hopefuls, Sebastian began his racing career karting, aged eight. His commanding performance saw the young German gain a spot racing open-wheel cars for the first time.

From a very early stage, it was obvious that this was Sebastian’s natural stomping ground and it wasn’t long before he won his first open-wheel championship in the German Formula BMW Championship in 2004. Incredibly, Sebastian managed to win eighteen out of the twenty races in that tournament alone.

His amazing success in the German BMW series paved the way for Sebastian to enter the F3 Euroseries in 2005. However, it was a nasty hand injury incurred during the Spa-Francorchamps that really got the right people talking thanks to Vettel’s mastery of the car, in conditions where lesser drivers may not have raced at all.

Sebastian Vettel took the win at the Nürburgring and led the championship from the off. But before he could finish, he was plucked from the pack and catapulted into F1 where he has become one of the sport’s all-time greats. At the Indian Grand Prix in 2013, he joined the ranks of the legends of F1, when he took his fourth consecutive World Driver's Championship win.
